Since joining IRDTC I have taken on many responsibilities and have enjoyed every moment of it. My husband, Jerry, is the trainer, I am the by-stander so to speak. My involvement has been the Sit Stay Newsletter editor for over four years, on the Board of Directors last year, currently the club's Treasurer, and currently the Obedience Trial Chairman. Over the past two years as Obedience Trial Chairman the experience gained has been priceless. Working with the Brevard Dog Training Club at our combined trials, we have combined our premiums and became more cost effective, thus both clubs have seen a small profit in running our Obedience Trials. Xena, our Austrial Shepherd, and I have one leg in Novice Standard. Agility is fun but it is more important that she earn her UD, then on to agility again. |
